Stephanie Steinman and Cherry Pie are a success story of fairy-tale proportions. It's not often a 23-year-old with no design experience – or the ability to sew so much as a button – successfully launches a multi-million dollar company and simultaneously finds herself lauded by People magazine for her achievements. Six years later, the woman People christened "Goldilocks" has established herself and Cherry Pie as a highly desirable brand – and one that shows no sign of slowing down.

Cherry Pie began as a solution for a nagging problem of Steinman's – the lack of underwear that was both stylish and fun at the same time. Everything on the market was too plain or lacy – there was nothing in between. Frustrated, Steinman set about creating her ideal sexy-yet-comfortable thong. She soon expanded the line to include robes, camisoles, chemises and pajama sets in a variety of prints and fabrics.

It wasn't long after the line creation that celebrities and the media began to take notice. Cherry Pie counts among its customers such names as Cameron Diaz, Gwyneth Paltrow, Madonna, Rebecca Romijn-Stamos, Sharon Stone, Charlize Theron and Jennifer Aniston. In addition, the line has been featured in major magazines such as People, InStyle, Glamour, and Cosmopolitan, as well as on hit television shows such as "Friends," "Everybody Loves Raymond," and "Will and Grace."

A few years after its launch, with the celebrity baby boom in full swing, Steinman introduced the much-anticipated Cherry Pie Baby – a 100% cotton knit baby line that includes basic layette pieces such as onesies, rompers, caps and blankets in sizes
ranging from newborn to toddler, as well as sleepwear for ages 5-10. Cherry Pie Baby's unique prints are sold at prestigious retailers such as Barney's New York and Henri Bendel. The collection has been a success from the start, attracting attention from new celebrity parents like Ben Stiller, Tea Leoni, and Cindy Crawford. Cherry Pie Baby has also been spotted frequently in magazines such as Martha stewart Baby, InStyle, and Fit Pregnancy.

The latest addition to the Cherry Pie collection is Cherry Pie Swim, making its debut for Resort 2002/Spring 2003. The line of classic suit styles in colorful prints and bright, fashionable cover-ups was created with the relaxed easy-going spirit of the tropics in mind. Cherry Pie Swim is perfect for any vacation, from a weekend getaway to the Hamptons to the glitz and glamour of the French Riviera.

Six years after its inception, Cherry Pie can be found in over 1500 boutiques nationwide. The line continues to grow and garner more attention each season, and is sure to be a constant in the ever-changing fashion world for years to come.
